Stefan Skupien is a scientific researcher who has worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, an evaluator for scientific collaborations in Africa at the University of Uppsala, and currently a Scientific Coordinator for Open Science at Berlin University Alliance.

What is your favorite animal and why? I like the hedgehog; it is peaceful, defensive, and a nocturnal animal. It has lots of potential for stories.

What is your favorite dish/meal? I could walk miles for Caponata (Sicilian dish made of eggplants and tomatoes).
