Snippet:

Her background is in Social Sciences with degrees in political science, social and cultural anthropology, statistics, and social policy. She obtained her PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Leuven.

Even though she was happy in the academic world, her mental health deteriorated more and more over the years. After experiencing severe and chronic burnout, she decided to leave her academic career at the post-doc level. During her recovery process, she decided to help her fellow academics and researchers in finding balance and fulfilment in their work and life. She got certified as a burnout and wellbeing coach and started working with academics. Her mission is to help academics (and everyone else) prioritize self-care, work-life balance, and mental (as well as physical) health. In 2020, she started her podcast "Mind Your Own Revisions" to talk about researchers' mental health and burnout more openly. In her day job, she is working as data steward at Vrije Universiteit Brussel supporting researchers in their data management.
